I decided to google map my old house in Mira Mesa and what do you know… here it is! It looks a bit different, but pretty much the way I remember it! This was where I first learned how to ride a bike w/o training wheels thanks to my neighbors! It’s also where a lot birthdays were held, where I used to sing karaoke with my dad on weekends, where my best friend, Jessica and I would come home from school and immediately jam to Nsync, Britney Spears, Backstreet boys, etc., where my 2 brothers (Ej and Junior) and I shared toys, threw our football, played on our jungle gym, buried our many parakeets that we used to have as pets, where we spent many holidays, crushed bottles and cans then recycled them for $$, my first time watching The Lizzie McGuire show, my first sleep over with my 5th grade best friend, Gwen, where I rode my best friend’s bike in the backyard, fell off and cut my knee, to where my mom had to chase me around the kitchen ‘cause I didn’t want her to clean my wound (LOL), to bringing home my first fish that I won from the Del Mar Fair, which ended up dying ‘cause I had left it outside overnight :, to many family trips, outings and to so many other memories that is forever embedded in my heart.  

I cry every time I remember this house, this place and Mira Mesa in general ‘cause that was my home for 6 years. I made so many childhood friends and childhood memories. It was so hard to let go of my life from there, but life went on and now I’m here in the present remembering my past. Don’t get me wrong though, if I hadn’t have moved I probably wouldn’t have met a lot of the people I know and love right now, but I’ll always have that “what if” feeling.

Once I get my license, one of the first things I’m gonna do is drive to my old house and relive my childhood memories in Mira Mesa <3
